In 2002 Datasouth acquired specialist accounting and service industry software company Synergy Business Solutions Ltd.
In 2003 Datasouth established Datasouth Consulting Services which specialises in consulting services to meet the increasing compliance issues businesses face in ensuring their technology solutions are appropriate to mitigate business risk.
