Environmental Policy

Datasouth recognises that one of the major business issues that we face today is our ability to conduct business in a manner that best provides protection to the environment. As such, Datasouth is involved in a number of initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint and the impact of our operations on the environment. This is being achieved by promoting technology that better utilises the resources available to us and being committed to a sustainable programme.

This programme includes:

  1. Utilisation of technology resources that assist in the conservation of energy and natural resources.
  2. Consideration of product lifecycle in relation to the environmental impact.
  3. Utilisation of technology resources that reduces the pollution footprint in the environment that we operate within.
  4. Making available and encouraging the use of product reuse and recycling services.
  5. Using only technology resources that have removed or reduced where possible substances that may be harmful to the environment or the health of the users.
  6. Assisting our clients, through the use of IT products and solutions, to reduce the environmental impact and improve efficiency of natural resources.
  7. Provision of training, and development of company policies that assist our employees to work in an environmentally friendly manner.
  8. Providing environmental reporting both internally and externally for continuous improvement.
  9. Integrating environmental management with safety and quality systems as appropriate.
  10. Fostering corporate leadership through environmental emphasis with all business partners and with the community.
